Search Competition Analysis Question – Broad Match Vs. Exact Match – Market Samurai/Traffic Geyser

This video seeks to find the answer about the age-old question: do you target key phrases with a certain amount of search competition results found using broad match or exact match?
If the average, everyday internet user never uses quotes when searching on Google, Yahoo, or anywhere else, why look at the exact match results?
If you are targeting a specific search competition result, like 300,000 competing pages, does that 300,000 need to be broad match or exact match?
Enquiring minds want to know…I want to know!
Getting clear on this issue will really speed-up research, I hope.
